"Our voice infrastructure was long in tooth and causing problems," said Dan Rainey, director of IT Service Delivery for Amerisure. "It was breaking on a pretty regular basis and starting to impact the business. On top of that, each office had its own system and they were all at different release levels. There was no consistency. What we tried to do is put together a telecommunications infrastructure that is going to be able to provide service that is consistent with our culture."

"I've tried to align myself and our IT department with service providers that are of the same sort of mentality as Amerisure," Rainey said. "And that's what we found with Teoma. I was looking for somebody that was going to be responsive. They've been very responsive, and they give me personal service."

"We plan a delivery date, and they send a team and execute," Rainey said. "We've received very good comments from the field for the rollouts that we've had so far - on the staff that's been sent out there and the professionalism and understanding. It was a cultural fit for us, and they've done a great job."

"Right now, everybody has to dial a long-distance phone number to get to another office," he said. "Teoma is reviewing our intra-office phone calls to see if we can reduce costs there with VoIP."

"They're an extension of our help desk," Rainey said. "They're doing all of our moves, adds and changes for us - that way, I don't have to train people in every office to do it. A user fills out a form, it comes here for approval, and it's forwarded to Teoma. In the next 24 hours or 48 hours they get the work done."

"These guys bent over backwards to recover from that," Rainey said. "Their guys got in a truck and drove to Indy right then with replacement parts. They were there either late that day or the next morning, parts in hand, and they didn't leave until everything was working, redundant and recoverable. Then they went back and made sure that every other office had the redundant backup system - and they did."

"They took care of it the right way, which is what I expected. Things are going to happen - it's what you do when things happen that makes the difference. That's why we picked them and stayed with them. We're very happy with Teoma."
